Yacht delivery

My role is to take full responsibility for the yacht during the delivery — technically, operationally and organisationally — and bring her to the destination safely and in good condition.

WHAT I DELIVER

• Sailing yachts, especially catamarans (Lagoon, Bali)
• Charter and private yachts (owner participation welcome for selected sections or the entire journey)
• Primarily European waters, from French ports through the Bay of Biscay, the Strait of Gibraltar, to destinations in the Mediterranean Sea such as Spain, Italy or Croatia

Each delivery is assessed individually. The plan always depends on the yacht, the route and realistic weather windows.

HOW THE DELIVERY WORKS (PROCESS)

1. Initial contact & yacht assessment

We discuss the yacht, destination and expectations. I analyze available technical information, establish responsibilities and a realistic delivery timeframe.

2. Passage planning & weather strategy

I prepare route options, decision points and a realistic strategy tailored to the yacht’s characteristics, required services, crew availability and experience, season and weather. Safety margins are established in advance.

3. Preparation & handover checklist

Before departure, the yacht is technically and organizationally inspected. Safety equipment as well as other necessary equipment, documentation and handover conditions are clearly agreed upon well in advance.

4. Delivery passage

Whether a new yacht collected from the shipyard or a pre-owned one from a previous or current owner, the handover is conducted calmly and professionally. You receive regular updates on progress, position and any necessary decisions if the actual status differs from the expected one.

5. Arrival & final report

After arrival, the yacht is handed over properly. You receive a short report with observations from the passage and important instructions for further use and maintenance of the yacht.
